Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall (in the borough of Carnegie, PA) accepts volunteers for Espy Post Civil War memorial docent duty, children's programming assistance, clerical support, Music Hall ushering, and grounds maintenance. Interest form covers eight additional volunteer categories.
Mt. Lebanon Public Library accepts volunteers for the Book Cellar (sorting and selling donated books), book sorting, garden maintenance, and the Teen Planning Committee (ages 13–18). Most roles require one or more shifts per month.

Prepare & Serve Dinner for Pleasant Valley Shelter Residents Every day of the year, generous volunteers from community groups, churches, and other organizations throughout the Pittsburgh area prepare, deliver, and serve evening meals for the shelter residents. Hundreds of volunteers are involved in this important and much appreciated process.
This internship works with families experiencing financial hardship in need of utility assistance. The internship will include working with the CAP team, providing financial and tangible assistance as appropriate, attending community pop-up events (with a full time Catholic Charities team member).
Transitional housing for men over the age of 50 years old. The internship provides experience working with clients to find stable housing. During the field placement interns will hold appointments with clients creating individualized service plans, assist with applications, and working towards other mutually agreed upon goals.
