“My experience as a tutor opened my eyes to how hard people will work to achieve goals.
Mt. Lebanon Public Library accepts volunteers for the Book Cellar (sorting and selling donated books), book sorting, garden maintenance, and the Teen Planning Committee (ages 13–18). Most roles require one or more shifts per month.
Braddock Carnegie Library (Carnegie One) accepts volunteers across four tracks: Fundraising support, Program & Events assistance, Landscaping and garden maintenance, and Heavy Labor for building upkeep. The library serves the Mon Valley and runs youth programs, community events, and historic building preservation.
Carnegie Library of Homestead offers volunteer opportunities in five areas: reading with children, after-school tutoring, supporting Music Hall events, Friends of the Library initiatives, and board or committee service. Volunteering is managed by the library's development office; contact them for current openings.
