Mock Interview Volunteer/Career Mentor

Join our volunteer team that empowers students enrolled in our Gismondi Job Training Program to practice and improve their interview skills and confidence by providing a welcoming and supportive space. These interviews could be done face to face or virtually.

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Conduct 30-minute mock interviews.
  • Utilize provided questions to simulate realistic job interview scenarios, along with asking interview questions based on your experience.
  • Complete a short assessment for each interview to highlight strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a supportive, encouraging, and non-judgmental demeanor.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hiring, interviewing, HR, or management preferred.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive manner.

Volunteer Opportunity Office Location(s) : Our Gismondi Job Training program is currently located in Allegheny and Washington Counties. In person locations will be depended on current cohort location including Catholic Charities primary Allegheny location at 111 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222. Virtual options are also available if needed.

Time Commitment: Flexible scheduling (up to 2 hours per cohort). Interviews typically occur during business hours.

Supervised by : Gismondi Job Training Program, Program and Business Development Leader

Clearances: Criminal and Child Abuse Clearance
