Be a Homework Helper for Elementary Students!

Our organization seeks to serve the kids of Crafton Heights and surrounding communities. One way to do that is by providing a safe space for completing homework! The "Homework Help" After School Program is open to kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We are looking for volunteers to be the "Help" for the students we see!

Qualified Volunteers are:

  • Over the age of 14 with secure transportation to the program.

  • Able to pass their Clearances: PA State Background Check, Child Abuse Check, and Federal Fingerprint Check. We can help you secure these as a volunteer for our organization.

  • Willing to commit to a fairly regular schedule, within reason. Perhaps coming every Tuesday through February, or 3 days a week for 3 weeks in a row, or something similar. Consistency is important to the students we serve, and helps them look forward to attending each day.

  • Have a good understanding of basic math and English reading skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse group of children at an appropriate level.

Once you sign up to volunteer, you will receive a welcome email with details that invite you to ask additional questions or express specific needs.

Thank you!
