GOODWILL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Reading Classroom Aide Wanted for In-Person class in Lawrenceville

Goodwill of Southwestern PA is looking for individuals who enjoy helping others to make an impact in the adult learning community by assisting instructors in the classroom.

We are mainly looking for volunteers who can work with students on basic reading skills for people who are either low level or not native English speakers , with direction provided by the classroom teacher. One of these students graduated from our English Language program and has transitioned into our HSE/GED program. The other student is a lower-level GED student, and they both need help preparing to take the GED tests to obtain their High School Equivalency diplomas.

Classes are in the afternoons from 1:00-3:30PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A desire to help adult students achieve their educational goals and an interest in the subject matter is always a plus! Those interested can contact Ashley Reilly, Education Volunteer Coordinator by text at 412-498-0412 or by email atashley.reilly@goodwillswpa.org
