Goodwill Volunteer Opportunity: Be an IN-PERSON English Language Learner Classroom Aide for Goodwill in Lawrenceville!

Goodwill of Southwestern PA is looking for individuals who enjoy helping others to make an impact in the immigrant community by serving as a classroom aide in one of our English Language classrooms in the greater Pittsburgh area. Having experience learning another language or having teaching experience is very helpful, but not required.

Goodwill offers English Language classes online and in-person at three locations: our Lawrenceville location, PA CareerLink in Monroeville, and Northside Common Ministries in the North Side of Pittsburgh.

We are seeking a volunteer that can work with students in our Lawrenceville classroom. Learning materials are provided and you'll receive training in advance. If you are TEFL certified or are working on your TEFL certification, this could be a good opportunity for you, but we need someone to commit to at least 4 months, ideally twice a week. If you can go longer, that's great too!

Time off during vacations and holidays and days that you are sick are of course ok.

Volunteers should have a desire to help adult students achieve their educational goals! An interest in the subject matter is always a plus!Volunteers must have a High School diploma or equivalency, post-secondary degrees are not required but are nice to have.
