Compliance Visits: What to Know, How to Prepare

Compliance reviews are performed by external oversight groups and by Pitt’s own Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Internal reviews by the IACUC are typically scheduled in advance. External group visits—except for AAALAC International—are typically unannounced. In this webinar, Animal Research Protection (ARP) compliance coordinators will discuss the different types of compliance visits, why they are important, who conducts them and when, and provide compliance tips, resources and training support. This webinar is relevant for investigators, postdocs, graduate students, and staff members who maintain or are listed on active IACUC protocols. This is intended to be informative, and attendance is NOT required.
