Global Entrepreneurship Week

Innovation HUB, PEZ Location
Free
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a global movement that celebrates and supports entrepreneurship by creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, share ideas, and take action. At Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa), GEW provides an opportunity to bring together students, founders, alumni, industry, investors, ecosystem partners, and the wider university community around entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Through the Innovation Hub, CMU-Africa supports students and entrepreneurs through business incubation, mentorship, technical talent, industry connections, and opportunities to develop and test solutions to real-world challenges. GEW 2026 will build on these efforts by creating a week that brings the CMU-Africa entrepreneurship community together to explore ideas, build capabilities, connect with opportunities, and showcase what is being created. This year’s theme “Entrepreneurs Thrive Here” reflects CMU-Africa’s ambition to create an environment where students and founders can explore entrepreneurship, develop their ideas, access the resources and networks they need, and turn ideas into meaningful solutions. It recognises that entrepreneurs thrive when they have access not only to knowledge and technology, but also to people, mentorship, opportunities, and a supportive community.
