Student Recital: Abby Bemak

Bach – Flute Sonata in E Minor Cost: Free and open to the public, no tickets required. Abby Bemak is a classical percussionist/timpanist. She specializes in mallet percussion. She is currently in the Major Ensembles program at Carnegie Mellon University, in a duo with flutist Elizabeth Hebing, and in the Carnegie Mellon Percussion Ensemble. Before that she was in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra, the Lakeland Community College Civic Jazz Ensemble (on vibraphone), and the Lakeland Community College Civic Band. She currently holds a position at The Ellis School as a summer camp counselor. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Percussion Performance. She holds an Associates of Arts in music from Lakeland Community College.
