Lanterns of Love

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. The community is invited to come together on October 3rd from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home for an evening of remembrance honoring friends and family members who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Guests are encouraged to bring family and friends and participate in a lantern-lighting ceremony at the memorial pond. Attendees will have the opportunity to decorate lanterns and fill them with personal messages of love and remembrance before lighting up the pond in honor of those who are forever remembered. The evening will also feature crafts, a petting zoo, and refreshments, giving families an opportunity to connect and spend time together before the memorial walk begins at 6:30 p.m. where we will launch our remembrance lanterns. All donations from the event will directly benefit The Still Remembered Project, supporting its efforts to honor and remember those who have passed and provide compassion and support to families experiencing loss.
