Fall 2026 Department of Informatics and Networked Systems New PhD Student Orientation

The department will hold a New PhD Student Orientation on: Friday, August 28, 2026 11 a.m. to Noon Room 538 – 539, Fifth Floor 130 N. Bellefield Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15213 This building is across the street from the Information Sciences Building. You can find directions here: Information Sciences Building | Campus Tour. During orientation, Vladimir Zadorozhny, Director of Graduate Studies, will provide an overview of the PhD in Information Science program. He will also discuss important policies and procedures for the doctoral program. Department leadership and staff will also be there to welcome you. The School of Computing and Information Doctoral Guild will also join us to introduce their organization and share information about upcoming events.
