Brick & Brew: A LEGO® Building Night with CMU’s BASEPLATE

Build, sip, and get creative! BASEPLATE and Velum Fermentation are teaming up for a hands-on LEGO® building night for all ages. Build alongside fellow LEGO fans, explore your creativity with loose bricks, and create a custom model designed by BASEPLATE exclusively for Brick & Brew to take home. BASEPLATE is a playful learning ecosystem for the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) at Carnegie Mellon University. BASEPLATE champions brick-based experiences that are joyful, iterative, socially interactive, actively engaging, and meaningful. Your $25 ticket includes: Welcome drink: One drink voucher to get the evening started (cash bar thereafter). Collaborative LEGO building: Co-build themed LEGO sets with fellow builders. Exclusive take-home model: Build a custom, limited-edition model designed by BASEPLATE exclusively for Brick & Brew, using LEGO® bricks. Free-build zone: Explore your creativity with loose LEGO bricks and build whatever inspires you. Whether you’re an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), a casual builder, or simply looking for a creative night out, Brick & Brew is an invitation to play, connect, and make something of your own. Brick & Brew is open to all ages, and every attendee needs a ticket. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Alcohol is for guests 21+ with a valid photo ID; younger guests can use their drink voucher for a non-alcoholic option. To request a refund or transfer, contact Jillian Conrad (jconrad2@andrew.cmu.edu) by Nov. 10. Take-home models are not shipped or held for no-shows. Please drink responsibly and plan a safe ride home.
