Computational Humanities Working Group: Fall Welcome Session

Please join us for the first session of the Computational Humanities Working Group of Fall 2026! The CH Working Group brings together faculty and graduate students across the humanities who use applied computational methods in their research and/or teaching. We also warmly welcome scholars in fields such as computer science, data science and statistics who are interested in applying their work to humanities data and questions, as well as members of the CMU community interested in learning more about computational humanities. Our work includes topics such as quantitative literary studies, historical network analysis, historical data mapping, computational narrative analysis and machine learning applications to humanities research. We’ll kick off the semester with an informal welcome session with introductions and conversation. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
