Abstract The construction industry is undergoing a monumental shift driven by digital integration and artificial intelligence. In this talk, Dr. Wang examines how value-oriented project management is reshaping the industry by reframing projects as vehicles for integrated value delivery. He will outline a practical transformation pathway moving from project-level digital applications to enterprise-wide data ecosystems. Finally, Dr. Wang will present an actionable framework for implementing AI at the enterprise level—focusing on data readiness, governance, organizational redesign, and workforce capabilities required for sustainable, AI-native transformation. About the Speaker Dr. Guangbin Wang is a Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, and Director of the Research Institute of Project Administration and Management. He has conducted visiting research at Stanford University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the management and control of complex megaprojects, digital transformation, and innovation in intelligent construction. Dr. Wang has provided research and technical guidance for major infrastructure landmarks, including Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shanghai Disney Resort, and the Taiyuan rail transit system.
