Ends:
TBD
This initiative brings together faculty and students interested in spatial theories and methods with a focus on how physical and social landscapes both shape and are shaped by power relations, identities, and social struggles. During this meeting, the group will discuss Indigenous sovereignty and the politics of recognition through Glen Sean Coulthard’s Red Skin, White Masks: Rejecting the Colonial Politics of Recognition. The book is available to read via the University Library System. Please write to ISHI@pitt.edu if you are interested in joining the group.
