9/11 Remembrance Stair Climb

Ends:
Recreation and Wellness Center
TBD
The Pitt Army ROTC Three Rivers Battalion invites the Pitt community to come together for a 9/11 Remembrance Stair Climb commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day. Participants will climb 2,200 steps, symbolizing the approximately 110 stories of the World Trade Center climbed by first responders on 9/11. The climb is not a race or competition; each step is an opportunity to remember, reflect, and honor those whose lives were lost or forever changed. Please arrive at the bottom of Panther Run, next to the RWC, in time for the start of your selected wave. The event is open to students, student organizations, faculty, and staff. Participants may register individually or as a group, and you do not need to be an experienced stair climber to participate. This event is about remembrance, reflection, and coming together as a community.
