Join Sustainable Pittsburgh for Powering AI: Infrastructure, Innovation, and Regional Readiness on September 16 in Downtown Pittsburgh. The event will bring together business, technology, academic, energy, and public-sector leaders to explore how AI growth is reshaping data-center infrastructure, energy demand, workforce needs, responsible adoption, and regional competitiveness.
The program will feature Alyson Freeman of Dell Technologies, along with regional perspectives from Pitt’s HAIL initiative and other leaders working at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and sustainability.
Event Overview
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how businesses operate, compete, and plan for the future. At the same time, the growth of AI is creating new questions around the infrastructure needed to support it, including energy demand, data-center development, water use, workforce needs, responsible adoption, and public policy.
This event will bring together leaders from business, technology, academia, energy, sustainability, and government to explore what this growth means for southwestern Pennsylvania and how the region can prepare for it in a way that supports economic competitiveness, resilience, and responsible innovation.
