This October First Friday is a celebration of all things Fall: pumpkin carving, apple-pressing, Hammerschlager, and some classic Oktoberfest biers from Birdfish Brewing: Dunkel, anyone? With music from the likes of J.P. Von Arx, Matt Hill, Elisha "Platnium" Fletcher, DC Cardelli, and Pittsburgh's own saxophone extraordinaires, Big Blitz. Come for the trolley! Stay for the Sycamore Folk Dancers! Or, come for a rematch at the arm wrestling table, and stay for line dancing, whatever floats your boat. It's the last First Friday of the season, so COME ON OUT! First Fridays on Fourth Street is Steubenville's monthly street festival featuring live music, fun and games for kids, local food and craft vendors, beer from local breweries, and all your friends in one place. Based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Big Blitz was born from the sounds of dance, rock, and jazz. This trio is comprised of Lucas Ciesielski (Saxophone), Nick Grabigel (Drums), and Mason Ciesielski (Saxophone and Synth). The band performs in a unique style, combining their individual musical influences to create a captivating sound. Whether plugged in or acoustic, Big Blitz delivers a high-energy performance that is guaranteed to transform any of your preconceived notions of the music that can be created by a saxophone-and-drum trio.
