Lead Climbing 101
Interested in learning how to lead climb? Join us for Lead Climbing 101, a fun and welcoming course designed to introduce climbers to the fundamentals of lead climbing. Participants will learn essential skills such as clipping techniques, lead belaying, managing rope safely, and climbing efficiently while building confidence on the wall.
This progressive program is ideal for climbers looking to take the next step beyond top-rope climbing in a supportive and supervised environment.
Prerequisite: Participants must hold a current Top-Rope Certification prior to the start of this course.
All rental gear is provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own climbing shoes and equipment.
Please note: This program consists of one class per week for three weeks, and participants are expected to attend all three sessions to successfully complete the course and develop the skills covered throughout the series.
This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
