Data Literacy Action Summit: Weaving Data Fluency Across Disciplines for Civic Impact
Ends:
PaTTAN Central, 6340 Flank Drive, Harrisburg, PA
TBD
Pennsylvania is one of just three states awarded a grant from Data Science for Everyone (DS4E) to host a statewide Data Literacy Summit. This one-day event brings together K-12 educators and administrators, higher education faculty, and business and industry leaders to explore three questions: What is data science? Why is it important for students to learn? How can we prepare students to thrive in a data-rich world?
The day is designed for district teams of 2-4 educators and school leaders, with concurrent breakout sessions so teams can explore different topics and bring their learning back together. Individual attendees are also welcome. Featured speaker: Jeff Remington, STEM Outreach Liaison, Center for Science and the Schools, Penn State University.
Registration closes September 14. Each attendee must register individually.
