24-Hour Film Challenge Kickoff Event

The Pitt 24-Hour Film Challenge is an exciting new student-run filmmaking competition where teams have just 24 hours to write, shoot, edit, and deliver a completed short film. Whether you’re an experienced filmmaker or trying your first production, this is your chance to collaborate, think creatively under pressure, and show off your work on the big screen. Filmmaking teams will receive a set of required creative elements that must be incorporated into their film. These elements will only be revealed only when the challenge officially begins to ensure a fair competition. The kickoff event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, in C4C: The Understory (Cathedral of Learning basement, B-50). The challenge begins at 11 a.m., and films must be completed and uploaded by 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6. Submissions will be eligible for a wide array of awards and prizes!
