Lunar New Year

Communities celebrate with fireworks, lion or dragon dances, and festivals. In China, the new year begins a 15-day festival that culminates with the Lantern Festival, which this year will be on Feb. 6. Though work is not prohibited, participants are encouraged to rest from work for celebrations.
