Writers' Café - Thrills and Chills: Writing Horror that Frightens and Fascinates Young Readers with Ally Russell
Ends:
O'Hara Student Center
TBD
Writing horror for kids can be scary. You’ve got to hook their attention right away, keep them turning the pages, and know how to find the sweet spot on the scary spectrum, depending on your audience. Never fear! In this workshop for writers of all experience levels, we’ll go over these creative skills with examples, discussions, and time for you to try writing your own. Whether you are a Writing major or are simply deeply interested in writing, you can find an informal community of Pitt writers at the Writers' Café. Join us to learn and practice new writing styles and techniques.
