Mechanical Momentum: Bypassing the Graduate Writing Block
Learning Objectives: Differentiate between Higher-Order Concerns (ideas and structure) and Lower-Order Concerns (grammar and citations) to separate drafting from editing. Apply low-friction assistive tools (such as native dictation or white-font drafting) to generate raw text without self-critique. Translate broad, ambiguous writing goals into concrete physical actions using the “One Verb + One Object” micro-step rule. This is an in-person workshop.
