CMIST Professional Development Seminar - Let’s Get Started

It is never too early to begin the search process. This workshop will cover how and where to identify appropriate opportunities, as well as best practices for resumes and cover letters. We will also set and discuss expectations for students regarding the professional development workshops. CMIST offers professional development workshops to its students to help them develop a professional portfolio and be competitive for internships and positions post-graduation. Professor Haleigh Bartos leads each workshop. All workshops will be held on Fridays from 12-1:20PM and will provide lunch. Sessions are required for MS STAIR students. For undergraduate students to be eligible for individual professional development preparation sessions with Professor Bartos, they must attend a minimum of two workshops. Students must be a declared major or minor in CMIST or be a first-year student intending to declare a major or minor in CMIST.
