Tab Benoit is a Louisiana singer, guitarist and songwriter known for swamp blues shaped by Cajun, roots-rock and soul influences. He emerged nationally with his 1992 debut, Nice and Warm, and has continued developing a distinctly Southern sound across albums including Wetlands, a blues meditation on Louisiana’s threatened environment, and Medicine, which won three Blues Music Awards. Benoit also co-founded Voice of the Wetlands, an environmental music project focused on preserving south Louisiana’s coastal wetlands. His gritty vocals, electric-guitar work and deep connection to Louisiana’s musical traditions define his catalog.
