Isabelly Raiane Silva dos Santos is a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) at the University of Pittsburgh during the 2026–2027 academic year. She is from Belém, Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon. Isabelly is passionate about language learning and teaching. She earned her first bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and also holds bachelor’s degrees in Portuguese and Spanish Language Teaching. She holds a master’s degree in Linguistics from UFPA’s Graduate Program in Linguistics and Literature (PPGL) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Linguistics in the same program. Her doctoral research focuses on literacy practices that promote cultural diversity and foster appreciation for the identities of riverside students in the Brazilian Amazon. In addition, she is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in French Language Teaching at UFPA. Isabelly has been teaching for ten years. She currently works as an English and Portuguese language teacher at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA), where she is involved in teaching, research, outreach, and administrative activities.
