Bandi Chorr Divas

Also known as “The Celebration of Freedom,” Bandi Chorr Divas commemorates the 1619 release of Sikh Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Ji and 52 imprisoned kings from Gwalior Fort. Sikh communities celebrate this major holiday with hymns and prayers, lights or fireworks, visiting a gurdwara, and spending time with family.
