Pluralism and the Constitution: Living Together Across Deep Difference

Ends:
University Club
TBD
Americans hold deeply different worldviews and visions of the good life, yet we share one constitutional framework. How does that framework allow us to govern together despite our disagreements? How do we accommodate competing values while protecting individual rights? And is the Constitution living up to its promise of pluralism? This forum marks the formal launch of Pluralism360, a flagship civil discourse program of the University of Pittsburgh. Led by the Center for Governance and Markets, Pluralism360 brings together students, faculty and members of the community who hold different values and viewpoints to take on hard questions and solve problems together.
