Founded by Wheeling bandleader Bob Berry, the club takes its name from its original membership cap of 200 couples. The club hosts four to five dances each season, and its mission has stayed remarkably consistent across five decades: bring in real big bands, keep the tradition going, and give people a place to dance the way their parents did. The venue is the Osiris Shrine, also known as Monument Place, at the corner of National Road and Kruger Street in the Elm Grove area of Wheeling. The ballroom is one of the few rooms left in the region built for this kind of dancing. Past performers at the club have included the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Wally Gingers Orchestra, the Wally Merriman Trio, and the Swingin' Bopcats out of Butler, PA.
