Writing Retreat

Join the Center for Urban Education for a Writing Retreat on October 22, 2026. Join us for the theme, "Harvest Season for Your Writing"— and make progress on what you have "planted" (drafts, data, half-finished ideas, etc.) Whether you're checking in at this midpoint in the semester, journaling, making strides in your research or finding inspiration through Interim Director Lori Delale-O'Connor's writing prompt, there's something for everyone. CUE's Fall Writing Retreat offers dedicated, uninterrupted time to focus on your writing projects and offers space to connect and support one another. We will begin with a brief introduction, followed by blocks of quiet writing time and opportunities to share progress. An optional writing prompt will be offered, as well as a time for reflection. In this five-hour block, join us during a timeframe that works best for you A complimentary lunch will be provided at 12pm.
