Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen
Steel City Shakespeare Center presents Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler at the Providence Heights Motherhouse (La Roche University Campus)
Directed by Ella Mizera, Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece takes us through the unravelling world of an aging socialite who finds herself staring down the barrel of a long and lonely life of desire, expectation, and utter boredom. Hedda is a lovely bird with many admirers, but she can only view them through a gilded cage until someone comes along and opens it for her. She has to decide if she will remain safe and admired, or fly free unknown danger and excitement.
