Six Words to Craft a Career

What comes to mind when you think about your future career? Maybe there’s a moment from your experience that shapes how you think about what comes next: a rejection, a lucky break, a mentor who showed up at the right time, a choice that felt impossible. Got one? Now join the C4C and Pitt’s Career Center for an interactive workshop where you'll turn that moment into a six-word story. Working in small groups, you'll draft and refine your six-word stories together until they're specific and evocative. Some stories may become prompts for a call for art, so your six words could inspire art displayed at the Career Center. No experience with writing, art, or "career readiness" is required. Just come ready to reflect, experiment, and collaborate with others. Walk away with a sharper sense of how to talk about your own experience with clarity and impact, a vital skill for personal statements, interviews, and networking.
