Join the Center for Urban Education for a discussion with Dr. Leigh Patel about the second edition of her book, Decolonizing Educational Research: From Ownership to Answerability. The 10th anniversary edition of Decolonizing Educational Research: From Ownership to Answerability is an expansion of the first volume, through additional essays, intros and outros from scholars spanning the fields of education, gender and women’s studies, Indigenous studies, and dis/ability studies. In this book launch, book editor Leigh Patel will provide a brief overview of the pathway to this edition and then open up to four of the contributing authors, Drs. Heather McCambly, Z Nicolazzo, Briana Karena Namibia Rodriquez, Sean Adkins Hernandez, and Amanda Tachine. The book launch will include time for interaction and discussion with participants, both online and in person. The first 15 in-person attendees will receive a free copy of the book.
