Ismo

Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola turns the quirks of English into sharp, playful stand-up, finding humor in words whose meanings shift and everyday expressions that make little sense. His breakthrough Conan set about the many meanings of “ass” became a viral hit, and he later competed on NBC’s comedy competition Bring the Funny. Leikola also won Laugh Factory’s 2014 Funniest Person in the World contest. His comedy pairs a Finnish outsider’s perspective with close-up observations of language and daily life.
