Open House and Tour: Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh’s “Revolving Doors” Exhibit

Ends:
Jennie King Mellon Library
TBD
The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh invites the Chatham community – students, faculty, and staff – to explore Revolving Doors, an exhibit featuring a curated selection of artwork and artifacts that illuminate Jewish cultural life, the persistence of antisemitism, and the devastating impact of the Holocaust. The exhibit also highlights the stories of Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives here in Pittsburgh. Held the day after the anniversary of the October 27, 2018, Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting, which took place just blocks from campus, the open house offers an opportunity to reflect on this history and its ongoing impact. The exhibit also features artists’ reflections that remember the victims and honor the survivors of the attack. Curious about what’s behind the Holocaust Center exhibit’s glass doors? Stop by anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to meet Holocaust Center staff, explore the artwork and artifacts, learn more about survivors who made their homes in our region, and discover upcoming public programs, opportunities for classroom collaboration, and ways to get involved. We hope you’ll join us! RSVP not required; contact Christina Sahovey (csahovey@hcpgh.org) with questions or for more information.
