Narak Chaturdashi

Narak Chaturdashi is the second day of the five-day Diwali festival, though because of the lunar calendar it happens to fall on the same day as the main Diwali celebration this year. It focuses on worshipping the goddess Kali, removing ghosts, evil spirits, and negative forces in one’s life. Observances may include taking herbal baths, lighting lamps or firecrackers, or fasting.
