Author Talk: The City-Women with Mallorie Sievert

The City-Women Join Café con Libros for a conversation celebrating the release of The City-Women, the debut play by playwright, actor, and musician Mallorie Sievert. Set in a 17th-century cloistered convent in Latin America, The City-Women is a sapphic historical romance that follows four Latine women navigating faith, identity, and love within a strict religious environment. Mallorie will be joined by director, playwright, and longtime collaborator Sara LiBrandi for a discussion exploring the intersections of feminism, queerness, Christianity, and Latinidad, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. About the Author Mallorie Sievert (she/her) is a Latina playwright, actor, and musician based in New York City. She graduated from Elon University in 2024, and The City-Women is her debut play. Her acting credits include Shucked (Broadway First National Tour) and Heartbreak Hotel (Engeman Theater).
