Healthy Children, Healthy Families, Healthy Communities: How AMCHP Supports MCH in the U.S.

A Fireside Chat with Caroline Stampfel, DrPH, MPH. Have you ever wondered what kind of work happens at the intersection of public health, nonprofits and professional membership associations? This session will introduce you to the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) and our work to strengthen governmental public health and community partnerships. Along the way, we will discuss the Title V MCH Services Block Grant as an essential support for MCH in the U.S., how AMCHP fits in the larger picture of MCH, our key programs and impact, and what's on the horizon. Dr. Stampfel has more than 20 years of experience in maternal and child health. She is the Chief Strategy and Program Officer at the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP). Dr. Stampfel oversees AMCHP's organizational strategy, assuring alignment of AMCHP's work with the strategic plan, including strategic measurement, storytelling and family youth engagement. She earned her DrPH in Advanced Practice Leadership in Public Health from the University of South Florida, and her MPH in Environmental Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health and is a graduate of the CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellowship in MCH Epidemiology. Prior to AMCHP, she worked at the Virginia Department of Health Office of Family Health Services as the Title V Epidemiologist.
