What Should I Do About AI? A Pitt Community Workshop on AI and Energy
AI means very different things to different people, and those differences matter for how we navigate AI as individuals and as a community.
Join us for an accessible introduction to what AI is, how it is used, and why it uses energy, followed by small group conversations about what you are already doing, what concerns you, and what you would like to understand better about AI’s sustainability implications and beyond.
All members of the Pitt community welcome. No technical background required.
Speakers:
Mike Blackhurst, Geology and Environmental Science Sungwan Hong, Economics Justin Kitzes, Biological Sciences David Sanchez, Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation
