Glade Run Adventures is an innovative therapeutic equine, animal and horticulture program.
Volunteers are needed to assist with therapeutic riding and equine activities, feeding and turnout for the horses and large animals, weeding, mulching and watering in the gardens and greenhouse, assisting with summer camp, and more.
Volunteers can fulfil a wide variety of tasks at the Lab, mainly focused on two different areas: Laboratory and Education. You may volunteer in both areas, or you may volunteer in one area. You may also be cross-trained into one area or another depending on personal interest. Descriptions are provided merely to give more details.

Our volunteers are called "Garden Keepers" and express an interest and enthusiasm for gardening, enjoy being outdoors and getting their hands dirty, and have the ability to differentiate, or willingness to learn, a plant from a weed. Support is needed to help with the beautification and upkeep of the healing gardens at the Hope Grows Iris Respite House.
Volunteers, (must be age 18 years or older), are led in a small group to provide lunches and conversation to those who are homeless and marginally housed. The American Cancer Society provides free rides to treatment for people with cancer. As a trained Road To Recovery volunteer driver, you can change someone’s life in as little as one hour a week by ensuring a ride is available, so care isn’t stopped or delayed.
Keep in mind that most rides are needed during Monday through Friday, primarily between 7 a.m.
Volunteers are needed to drive older neighbors to specific appointments in the North Hills using the volunteer's car. This volunteer opportunity allows you to use our online platform to pick and choose appointments that are convenient for your location and schedule! This opportunity is a wonderful way to give an older adult the gift of independence.
Feel good by helping prepare salads, sandwiches, packing bags etc. for the elderly and disabled people in our area. It's not hard work, just requires a little of your time. The small amount of time that you give will greatly help others who are possibly alone with nobody in their lives to help.
