Rivers of Steel preserves Western Pennsylvania's industrial heritage — Bost Building (Homestead, headquarters), Pump House, Carrie Furnaces National Historic Landmark (iron-making history), and the W.A. Young & Sons Foundry. Volunteer roles include Carrie Furnaces tour guides and grounds support, Bost Building docents, special-event support (Festival of Combustion, art programs at Carrie), and archival/research assistance. Training provided.
