Allegheny County has 130 municipalities — boroughs, townships, and cities — each with its own websites, providers, and rules. PGH Portal eliminates the confusion: enter your home address and we’ll show you the specific trash pickup, water provider, electric utility, permit office, and emergency contacts that apply to your home.

How it works

When you enter an address, we use the free US Census Geocoder to find its precise coordinates, then ask the Allegheny County Municipal Boundaries layer which municipality the point falls in. From there we look up the relevant providers, contact details, and rules from our local database.

Your address never leaves our server cache — we don’t share or sell location data, and there are no third-party trackers.

Where the data comes from

Initial provider directory was assembled from each municipality’s public website, the Allegheny County Open Data portal, and a handful of regional authorities (ALCOSAN, PWSA, Duquesne Light, Peoples Gas). Some fields are still incomplete — when we don’t have something on file, we’ll point you to your borough office instead.
