I Can’t Believe It’s Not Leather w/ Emmett Armand

No Experience - Beginner | $100 - $150 Materials and Studio Fees* Participants will learn to design and create faux leather objects from raw steel using different forging and fabrication techniques beginning with a small candleholder. After forging on the anvil, we will manipulate the steel into our desired shapes using a combination of hot forming methods and weld custom hardware for each piece. Participants will also experiment with different patinas, finishes, and clear coats to give their work the proper luster and preserve these objects for years to come. *Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
