Lockets and Small Boxes w/ Maureen Duffy
All Levels | TBD Materials and Studio Fees* Discover new fabrication and soldering techniques while creating a unique locket or small box. Beginning with a basic hollow-form shape, participants will learn the steps to construct a box or locket featuring a hinge and clasp. You can personalize your piece by choosing to include a photo, a small keepsake, or aromatic materials in the final design. In this class, attendees will become proficient with tools such as the hydraulic press and dapping block, as well as learn technical soldering techniques. *Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
