Habitat by Hand: Building for Bees & Butterflies

Did you know that pollinators are responsible for 1 out of every 3 bites of food you take? Celebrate our environmental powerhouses during Pollinator Week 2026 (June 22-28) with the Center for Creativity and Pitt Sustainability. Experiment with making your own backyard butterfly puddler and/or bee hotel using a variety of recycled materials, and help give native pollinators the shelter and nutrients they need to keep the region growing. This relaxed workshop is designed for anyone looking for creative, community-oriented ways to support local ecosystems. No prior crafting experience is required, and all materials are provided.
