Examining Experience Through the Trauma Lenses - June 2026
Ends:
Free
This training will demonstrate how to examine specific case information through the trauma lenses discussed in “Basic Training in Child Trauma”. Utilizing real case information, we walk through the process of analyzing developmental history, trauma, and relationship information from the client to better understand the impact of early traumatic experiences on their current psychological functioning. The analysis includes insights derived from viewing children’s behavior as a non-verbal form of communication. We then consider how this information can inform treatment approaches tailored to each provider’s own setting. Participants will also receive information regarding secondary traumatic stress and supports using reflective supervision.
