Construction Junction (CJ) is Pittsburgh's nonprofit building-materials reuse center at 214 N. Lexington St. in Point Breeze, diverting used lumber, fixtures, hardware, and architectural salvage from landfills and reselling it affordably to home-repair DIYers and contractors. Volunteers help clean and sort incoming donations, maintain the warehouse and green spaces, and staff the annual Steel City Big Pour beer-and-food fundraiser — the signature fall event with ~2,000 guests and 70+ vendors — which funds CJ's deconstruction and job-training programs.
