Grant Writer

We are seeking a talented Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching and identifying potential funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and managing the grant application process.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations
  • Develop and write grant proposals that align with the organization's mission and goals
  • Collaborate with program staff and leadership to ensure proposals accurately reflect the organization's programs and needs
  • Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted
  • Maintain a calendar of reporting requirements and ensure all reporting is completed on time
  • Cultivate relationships with grant funders through regular communication and engagement
  • Conduct prospect research and identify new funding sources
  • Analyze grant application data and make recommendations for improving the grant writing process
  • Assist with other development activities as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in grant writing or fundraising
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into a coherent narrative
  • Familiarity with grant application processes and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and grant management software
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends
  • Passion for the organization's mission and values
