About North Hills Art Center

North Hills Art Center is a nonprofit community arts organization dedicated to enriching the region through art education, exhibitions, and creative experiences for all ages. We are seeking passionate community leaders to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of the organization.

Position Summary

Board Members provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight to ensure the long-term success of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in their community while supporting access to the arts.

Responsibilities

  • Attend one Board of Directors meeting each month.
  • Serve on at least one board committee.
  • Assist with occasional projects, fundraising initiatives, and special events.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for the organization.
  • Act as an ambassador for North Hills Art Center within the community.

Desired Experience

We welcome applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds, particularly those with experience in:

A passion for the arts and community engagement is more important than previous nonprofit board experience.

Time Commitment

  • One board meeting per month

  • Occasional events or volunteer activities throughout the year

Childcare Aid

The GHRM Center is seeking caring, dependable, and compassionate volunteers to support our licensed childcare program. Volunteers assist staff with classroom activities, reading to children, arts and crafts, outdoor play, special events, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Position Overview Humane Action Pennsylvania (HAP) organizes actions for members to take, including, but not limited to, writing letters and making calls to representatives. This position supports this process by agreeing to contact the legislators for whom they are a constituent in support or opposition of various bills as directed by HAP leadership.

Graphic Designer

Position Overview The #1 goal of Humane Action Pittsburgh (HAP) is to educate the public on how to prevent and relieve animal suffering by taking meaningful action. The HAP Graphic Designer will assist us in this pursuit by creating documents for education pieces, social media, the website, flyers, invitations, etc.
